What Is the BA Shop?

The Braver Angels Shop offers a number of outreach resources to support you including brochures, business cards, table runners & signage, and Braver Angels branded apparel. 

Funding

Resources from the Braver Angels Shop can be purchased with private funds and are a great use of your alliance funds, which you can tap into with your BILL Spend & Expense card (formerly Divvy). Note that printed material (such as the Trifold)  may be cheaper to print locally from a PDF rather than using the Braver Angels Shop.

In-Person Events (Fairs, Conventions, and other public gatherings)

Spreading the word about Braver Angels helps to grow our movement and heal the partisan divide. Braver Angels members do this by speaking at alliance events, libraries, colleges, service organizations (e.g., Rotary Club),  places of worship,  as well as showing up at county fairs, conventions, and all kinds of public gatherings. 

Resources for In-Person Events 

Wondering how to stock a table at your local fair? Below are some suggestions that have worked well in the past.

For smaller events you might consider:

• Business Cards 

• Braver Angels Tri-Fold Brochure (BA Shop or Printable version)

• Braver Angels one- pager (BA Shop or Printable version)

• Braver Politics (BA Shop  or Printable version)

• Rules of engagement (BA Shop or Printable Version)

• Table Runners or hanging signs

• Wearing your Braver Angels T-shirt or cap

For larger events you might also consider:

• Exhibit hall Banners

• Promotional items such as Bookmarks,  Bumper stickers, Buttons, or Magnets

Best Practices for Attending a Fair or In-Person Event

When you are running a table at a local event, we recommend some best practices to get the most out of your attendance.

Goals

• • Know your audience

  • Know your Braver Angels message

  • Know what action you want attendees to take

Plan ahead!

• • Make sure you have enough supplies at the booth

  • Have enough volunteers to assure someone is always at the booth

  • Get to the event in time to set up your space

  • Consider having a sign-up sheet for interested attendees

Booth etiquette  

• • Dress appropriately for the event (including your Braver Angels apparel)

  • Make sure somebody is at the booth at all times

  • Don’t sit behind the table - stand to the side so you are accessible to the audience

  • Don’t eat or drink at the booth as people will be less likely to approach you

Be social!

• • Greet people who come by, just saying hello can get people to engage 

  • Check out other booths in the event - this tells you more about the event and its attendees, and may provide more opportunity to talk about Braver Angels
