Cash Donations

Alliances may collect cash donations at face-to-face events. It is suggested that cash donations given at events to cover event expenses be handled at the local level and not be sent to the National Organization (e.g. keep a cash ‘kitty’).  Donations managed in this way are not tax-deductible for the donor.  

Larger amounts or donations from other organizations should be mailed to the central New York office; mailed cash donations should follow the same procedure as mailed checks, outlined here: Directed Individual Donations.
