Braver Angels town halls bring citizens together to seek common ground for action on controversial issues. They are two-hour meetings, designed for large numbers (up to several hundred). They are relatively simple to plan. They can be done in-person, virtually, or in a hybrid format.
There are two variants;
Community Town Halls are designed for discussion among citizens at the local level - small towns or neighborhoods. They focus on finding common-ground solutions that draw broad support across the entire community.
Deliberative Town Halls are designed for interaction with political representatives. They typically draw from larger areas - at the level of counties, legislative districts, or states. They start by identifying possible areas of common ground, and then shift the focus to discussion with their representatives.
